The item I received was exactly as described including the color of the goatskin in the photos. This goes really well with the purple or plum goatskin as well should you decide you need a contrasting leather. The grain isn't heavy and is more smooth. There is definitely enough goatskin to complete two Bible rebinds. I purchased the purple goatskin and saved on shipping cost as well. Delivery was quick and arrived as expected.

I rarely need leather so I purchased this because it was a good price. The description stated that there were holes in the skin but I thought I would be able to work around them. The holes were in the center of the skin. My advice would be to contact the seller before purchasing and explain what you are looking for. My fault, not the sellers.
