I purchased a CD and the version that arrived was not the same version that was listed, with different tracks, etc - BUT - when I pointed this out to the seller, they refunded me extremely promptly and were apologetic, advising they didn't have the version I was after. However, 2 weeks from when the CD was marked as shipped to when it was received (going from Ontario to Florida) is a bit excessive. I guess the Canadian Post is much worse than USPS? Also, the CD was described as - Condition: Very Good, CLEAN WITH NO DAMAGE wasn't really spot-on. There are a number of light scratches and marks on the CD. Overall, I guess I'm pleased with my purchase - price for value received. Thanks!

Go Foo Fighters!!!!!!!!!!!!
Okay, there are two main reasons why I bought this. The first was so I could finally hear the Foo Fighters' version of the song "Down In The Park". Man did that blow me away! I just couldn't believe how amazing that song was! The second reason was to hear "Hands Of Death (Burn, Baby, Burn)", which is a killer duet sung by my idol Rob Zombie and the legendary Alice Cooper. That track totally rocked, but it can also be found on Rob Zombie's "Past, Present and Future" album, and this is the only CD with that song by the Foo Fighters. So the Foo Fighters were the main attraction. I've watched a few X-Files episodes over the course of my life, and it's a pretty cool show, but that's not the reason why I purchased this CD. The only other tracks that I liked were from a band called the Meat Puppets and the ultra-cool Danzig. Those were awesome, but I expected more. Some of the songs sounded country, and the only other rock songs were too slow. I was especially disappointed with a slow song by Filter titled "Thanks Bro". I love Filter, and this WAS NOT their normal style. For X-Files fans there is the theme music, and a rock/techno version of the theme music by P.M. Dawn, which was kind of cool. But for 15 tracks there just wasn't enough here for someone like me. I have no doubt that this would appeal to many people, but I just couldn't give it a perfect review.

First came upon this album while searching the Brian Eno section. Some intriguing duos to say the least, so I gave it a try. It is now one of my favorite "rock" albums. Elvis Costello crooning over an Eno near-ambient composition? William S. Burroughs profane mutterings against a backdrop of humming REM-bers? Sometimes it takes just a wink or a nod to garner some respect for well known, middle of the road artists and I see Sheryl Crow in a different light because of her contribution here. And Gary Numan fronting the best back-up band ever, the Foo Fighters. Brilliant! Who thought of that? And there's much, much more that I won't bore you with. Get this album if you love good rock and roll. You don't even have to have been a fan of "The X-Files", but being one just adds a little bit ... Hidden Track
Just had to say how surprised I am that no one has mentioned the 16th track on the album by Nick Cave. You need a cd player that is capable of rewinding the time. The hidden track is about 8 minustes long. If you read the insert it gives a hint when it says that Nick Cave wants to remind you that 0 is a number also. When playing track 1 press rewind and rewind for about 8 mins. I have tried it on a dvd player but didn't work, I've only been able to get it to work on my old cd player and I didn't have any luck on my player on the computer as it only lets you back track to previous tracks.
