This unit i purchased failed right out of the box. Packaging for this item (which was heavy did not secure the item within the shipping box. Upon receipt plugged in and never turned on there was wire that had disconnected from a spade terminal. The wire was inside the pressure switch control and was not really subject to any harm during shipping. This leads me to believe that it was indeed not secured during the assembly phase. Secondly although advertised as a shallow well pump it failed.
