An ounce of prevention....
I ordered this for a 30 yr. old Whirlpool washer by mistake. I'm glad I made the mistake, though, as the old seal was in bad shape. Glad I could "fix it all" while I had the machine apart. I'm pretty sure this will have saved me down the road. Fairly easy to install and super easy to work with.

FITS LIKE THE ORIGINAL
In Whirpool Factory Certified package. Fits perfectly around tub ring. Appears to be a newer version of the original seal (circa 1998) as this seal is all white on all four sides whereas the original is white on two sides and black on the other two sides. Installations instructions also refers to the older type seal by informing to keep one of the black sides facing up. In any event, if properly unfolded becomes intuitively obvious how the seal should be inserted into the ring. In Whirpool Factory Certified package. Fits perfectly around tub ring.
