    Bargain value for dedicated use

    I use these routers to run local networks for digital audio mixers. I happened to have one sitting around after our Internet provider upgraded our home network and configured it for the mixer. That was a V1 router, which is bulkier and more complicated to configure. I picked up a couple of the v3 units, which are smaller and easier to configure. I have a backup/restore file that allows me to clone the settings. I always carry at least one spare to gigs, even though only one unit has failed over nearly ten years and hundreds of shows, and even that was just acting unstable and disconnecting randomly. This purchase was to replace it. They are plentiful and cheap.

    Netgear router. not the 1/4" version

    Seems like Netgear makes some real good Routers. I just wanted an el-cheapo one for my phone only and ended up using it for my laptop for I took out password and that seems to make it a tad fast. Well it connects faster at least.
