But I need to remove the mic and give it to various people for announcements etc. The Lekato transmitter on the mic is a larger diametre than the mic shafty so I unplug it from the mic, remove the mic from the clip and plug it back into the mic. If the transmitter was the same diameter as the mic shaft, it would make more sense for ease of use. I wouldn't matter if it was slightly longer.
