About this product

Product Information

Get some awesome racing action with DEAD HEAT SCRAMBLE. Choose from three different cars: a dune buggy, a sand rail, and an off-road truck. Once you have a car, you can hit the tracks. However, the tracks are constructed of pipes. If you want to pass other drivers, you will have to drive on the side of the pipe to get around them. In addition to the other vehicles, there are blockades and rocks that keep getting in the way. Don't get distracted by the driving alone, you must collect the power-ups scattered throughout the tracks that include bonuses and nitro boosts. Test your driving skills and courage with DEAD HEAT SCRAMBLE.

  • It's a minimal, short burst of archaic fun for the game boy

It's a pretty weird game, sort of like driving down a bobsled course, dodging other cars while listening to ice cream truck music. There is no scenery to change up the visuals, though the "track" constantly throws different things at you which helps break up the monotony of constantly dodging cars and hazards. If you like these early minimalistic game boy games I think you might enjoy this as long as you don't pay a lot, it's reminiscent of Bump 'N' Jump.
