    Statham & Lee Light It Up !!!!

    Set in San Francisco, 'War' is a brutally savage revenge story; as FBI Agent Jack Crawford (Statham) seeks to bring down former CIA Assassin turned Freelance Contract Killer Rogue (Li); the man who killed his partner. He gets his chance when war breaks out between the City's Chinatown-Based Triads and their Rivals the Yakuza (Asian Mafia) who operate from San Francisco's "Yakuza District." Crawford detects Rogue's machinations in the destructive precision-based violence; confirmed by his discovery of one of the killer's trademark Titanium Shell Casings at a crime scene.     War (2008, Blu-ray Disc)

    without ruining anything, let's just say it's a good story with a twist! jet li has a grudge against those who killed his family and jason statham is trying to get even with those who killed his partner! each one knows each other and is somehow connected to japanese yakusia clan, but both have different agendas, both against the clan and towards each other! it all builds up and does have some predicability to their causes but this will eventually lead to a conclusive and climatic ending! great to watch and follow along until the end (but you don't have to take my word for it). i honestly didn't think it would be as good as i thought.

    Excellent - Highly Recommended

    Jason Statham is a police detective caught in the middle of the worst tong-yakuza war in the city's history. Trying to put an end to the killing, he is foiled at every opportunity by this shadowy assassin (played by Li, in probably his first starring role as the villain). The killing soon turns towards the wives and children of the gangsters, and Statham is in a race against time to save the innocent from this heartless killer. The acting is excellent all around, the Blu-ray shines in pic quality. DO NOT see this movie if extreme violence (especially against children) is repugnant to you.

    GOOD ACTION FILM

    War was a decent action flick. It's not the best I've ever seen but I'm a Jet Li fan and wanted this blu-ray just because of him. This film had some interesting plot twists that I didn't expect. I wish there was more dialogue for Jet Li but there was only a little. It didn't really stretch his acting abilities. Jason Statham was convincing as the cop looking for justice. Both Li and Statham had some bad ass action sequences. War is a fitting title for this movie because pretty much everyone gets into the action. I think it's worth watching at least once if you like action/martial arts movies.

    Violent movie, OK script, not enough Jet Li action

    I expected so much better and was left disappointed. This is more of a violent shoot-em up than a creative Jet Li Kung-Fu action flic. Plot had some twists but the script and movie was average not great. The "Yakuza Fighter" game as a bonus is a joke. The Blu-Ray has a bunch of extras and the sound and picture quality is superb.
