Great for kids and adults alike, players can sing along to a curated mix of 30 songs from Disney's top movies. The songs chosen come from decades of Disney classics, such as "The Jungle Book", "The Little Mermaid", "The Lion King", "Toy Story", and "Cars". To further set the mood during a song, footage from the song's corresponding movie plays full-screen in the background. Up to eight people may play at one time, taking turns by passing around the microphone. Record extra-special songs using the game's "Encore" mode. Recorded songs can also be edited with fun audio affects to add pizazz to your audio masterpiece. Also included in this game are special voice training sessions, hosted by phenomenal singer Anika Noni Rose, who played Tiana in The "Princess and the Frog". Pros: - It has a very polished look to the game. - The pitch sensor is quite good, means its accurate when you sing. - There's a lot to do, different achievements, training, difficulty levels, etc. Cons: - The song distribution is very bad. "The Disney Hit Songs" it gives you to sing from is too limited; classic-era (1950+). - The only real mega star hit that they give you to sing is Aladdin "A Whole New World". - Other movie provide kind-of only the "side-kick's songs"; for example in the Beauty & the Beast it's, "Be Our Guest" & in The Little Mermaid it's "Under the Sea." So that's 2 pretty huge Disney Princess song possibilities to be missing (Luckily the Tiana titles are in from Princess & Frog). - Some movies have too many songs for 1 movies series, instead of more movie-series ... Family Fun!
This games is great! I first played it at a friends house and wanted one for myself. I have played this with both my Step-nephew and my nephew, at separate times. Although my actual nephew isn't into singing, he enjoyed the game. When playing with my step-nephew is had a lot of fun trying to figure the songs out, even if he never saw the movie it correspondence with.
