    Best Bird Book ever

    This is my classic birding guide, and has been for the last 40 years. While it is currently out of print, it is worth the time spent to find a copy for yourself. The narrative categorizes species searches by habitat, and the excellent photographs are categorized by species color and general body type. This guide makes it easy for a beginner to begin a life-long hobby. I would recommend purchasing both the Eastern Region and the Western Region editions as some of the flyways have changed since the 1977 edition

    Multiple Books for Bird ID

    Due to multiple books each needs rated individually: Birds of N. America: Good drawings, Identifies location in winter and summer, descriptions could be better but mostly sufficient. Audobon (Western): Good photos but only one view-would be better if more angles were available. Audobon (Eastern): Good photos but only one view
