    Being on the road does not slow down the Falcon nor does it dull his wit or charm.

    In 1941, George Sanders emerged as a suave English gentleman-detective, known as The Falcon. It was Wendy Barrie's hard boiled charm that helped set up the targets for Sander's biting wit and made two legs of the romantic triangles that evolved in his cases that made the Falcon movies such a draw. In episode #4, The Falcon's Brother, Sanders was replaced by his real life brother, Tom Conway. Conway, who seemed more at ease in the role, made the Falcon more dashing and urbane, a private eye with some private thoughts of his own about the various females he encounters. Both brothers enjoyed the pursuit and went after the women as enthusiastically as they did the criminals, making the Falcon fun, breezy and light entertainment around the dark crimes they set out to solve.     It's the curmudgeon George Sanders' party-going brother. He fills the role well, and was handed off this role, by his brother George; Surprising, since they had no use for each other, and had not spoken to one another for over 20 years. Great old stuff, though, and you're sure to enjoy.

    Ladies man Tom Lawrence (a.k.a. The Falcon) takes the play out of the hands of the police when it comes to solving crimes. He invariably finds himself squarely in the middle of a jewel theft or on the scene of a murder, but always manages to bring the guilty party or parties to justice. The Falcon series represents fine entertainment for fans of mystery movies from the 1940s
