    One of the Best Weird Horror Books EVER

    DARK GODS sits on the small shelf of absolute masterworks of 20th century macabre fiction (although this 21st century shelf seems to be increasing, incredibly, with good work) The four shorttales herein with be cherished by the lover of the weird and well written forever. I can not encourage you to read this highly enough. T.E.D. Klein's small body of work is not a thing tolament, considering the quality of what he has produced. I'd rather read "Children of the Kingdom" "Black Man With a Horn" "Petey" or "Nadelman's God" a dozen times, than read something half-hearted and un-felt once. Klein has seen the true darkness. Perhaps this is why there was just so much he could bear to give us before the mercurial muse fled and this living titan of the macabre became a silent master.

    A hard-to-find modern horror classic

    Classic horror fiction from the 80s. An influential work on 21st centuries horrormeisters including Laird Barron, John Langan, and Paul Tremblay. Hard to find. Note: TED Klein noted that a reprint is in the works in his 2019 interview with the journal Vastarien.
