This entry-level Apple desktop nevertheless comes bundled with a Mighty mouse and an ultra-thin and compact wired keyboard for minimalist efficiency with maximum power options. The Apple A1224 iMac features an energy-efficient 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo processor with two independent 45 nm Enryn processor cores on a single chip. It has 6MB shared level 2 cache memory. The system bus runs at 1.066 GHz, and the motherboard hosts two RAM slots. 2GB of fast 1.066 GHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM memory comes standard, and it can even be expanded to 8GB total. This iMac comes with an installed 320GB Serial ATA hard drive running at 7200 RPM and will support an upgrade to a 640GB or 1TB hard drive or even an SSD drive. The Mac OS X 10.5.6 Lion software comes pre-installed, although the operating system can be upgraded to the 10.11 El Capitan version. From working on spreadsheets to streaming video, this 20-inch Apple iMac model does everything you need it to. Easily work on your text documents or update your family budget with this device. Communicate with your iPhone, iPad, and other Mac devices via Facetime, or create content with iMovie and Garageband. When you buy an Apple product you are buying a top of the line product.
Basically because it is an Apple product. Apple makes excellent products and also makes software that is designed for the hardware. An excellent combination. apple's prices are high but for that high price Apple gives excellent service in the way of help at Apple stores and Apples phone service is second to none. Very little wait time with telephone service and the telephone support agents are very helpful but if the telephone support agent isn't able to solve your problem the telephone support gent will find another telephone support agent that can help with your problem.Basically because it is an Apple product. Apple Imac 20" isn't Bad...
It's a Apple.. I have a 24" that has the best stuff you can put in it.. It's fast.. The Geforce graphic's in this 20" isn't as good.. To much back lighting.. Colors & picture not as sharp.. 24" has SSD and the 20" HDD it's not as good.. But needed something smaller for my Motorhome.. Laptops and batteries small screens isn't for me.. So the 20" does the job.. It was used in Good Condition and the price was Great..! Being a Apple and the Price.. You can't beat it..It's a Apple.. The machine has a cutting edge processor, great hard drive space, excellent RAM performance, built-in wireless and bluetooth, as well as a DVD Burner. The iMac Series also comes with Apple's built-in WebCam called iSight. This allows for video conferencing through AIM, Skype, or just augmented picture taking fun. The software that comes on the machine is Apple's OS X. The system is extremely stable and the auto-update feature is great as it alerts you when new ... Overall, when the next generation Apple iMac comes out I would most likely purchase the computer again. The machine has a great design, easily gets through any tasks such as Internet Browser, making a Hollywood Movie, Office Productivity, and much much more. On the back of the unit it has ample USB and firewire ports, monitor out, audio out, and ethernet. The machine is thin and light weight and the all-in-one design is great. However, the USB ultra thin keyboard make take a little getting used to. I would recommend an Apple Computer to anyone the Virus Free Unix Based Platform is strong, reliable, and easy to use. You cannot go wrong purchasing one of these machines and on top of that you can even run Windows or Linux on them through boot-camp, VMware Fusion, or Parallels. The premium on price is definitely worth the money. Once you have your Mac you will not go back to PC - enjoy the simple life. Great functioning computer!
Over all I am very pleased with my iMac. I had a Dell laptop for the last few years, and am back into the desktop world. I believe the one piece computer with a large screen was the way to go. I like the simplicity of it, and the ease of use. Powerful enough for me. One of the main reasons I purchased the computer is I plan on using After Shot Pro 2 photo management software. I am looking forward to seeing how that will work. I have 4 gig ram so it should be sufficient for it according to the info I read.Over all I am very pleased with my iMac.
