What a concept!
It's a shame these 5.1 in-a-box solutions didn't have traction. They are a terrific solution to a small living space and you don't want wires or speakers all over the place. Speaking of wires, I replaced the 6 cables running from my amp to the speakers with ONE TOS-Link cable. Pretty cool. That said, the sound, while decent for it's size, will not overwhelm you in it's loudness. I have yet to hear a difference in the various settings and wish there was a way to defeat the DSP effects. They aren't that good. I end up using "Sports" for movies and "TV" for Pandora. Go figure. At under $200, no tax or shipping it is a bargain. This is my second Yamaha product. I have the YSP 2200 for my Greatroom. The SRT is perfect for my bedroom. There is enough bass, and the sound is great. Compared to the YSP series, it's less tweaking involved. There are enough adjustments to suit whatever type room you have. I don't think the SRT is right for a large Greatroom, but can hold its own in an average size room. It is well made, looks great, and I love it!!!This is my second Yamaha product. Really nice.
I'm old school. Typically I would want my TV connected to a big AV system. So I didn't know if I would care for this. We needed something to increase the sound level in our home gym. So the more compact the better, right. Well the Yamaha SRT-1000 is great. It has excellent sound, far more output power than I'll ever need, every input jack you can think of, and a very simple remote control.

Finally I can hear dialogues....
I wanted to replace my Sony 2.1 Channel soundbar as I was not able to hear dialogues clearly. Tried Bose but it also could not do the job. Finally found this sound base at a reasonable rate and thank god that I did. Now we are able to hear all dialogues even the whispers clearly. It not only has great surround sound and strong bass effect but also delivers clear voice. the product is sturdy, solid and still very compact to fit most TV trolleys. I've had it for a little less than a month. I like being able to adjust the sound bar with the app on my phone. It sounds great with movies. If you put it on movie mode and adjust it a little it sounds great with everything else too. Different shows and movies obviously sound different so it's common sense you will have to adjust accordingly. I think it's a great deal for the money. It's a great match with my Visio tv. It's big but it has quite a few speakers. It rattles a little bit. But if that's the worst thing about it I can't complain.I've had it for a little less than a month.
