Just what I was looking for!
I've had it for a little under two weeks now and it's been working great! It heats up quickly, although I will say it's a little tricky getting to the right temp as it tends to fluctuate a lot but so far that hasn't caused any issues. I use this to make herbal tinctures and oils and it does the job easily. Simple to use and setup, the magnetic stirring function can get pretty fast, so mixing is never a problem anymore. Works fantastically!
The hotplate works great! So far, I've hit 667°f! Far better than any other hotplate I've purchased so far. Stirring works great as long as you have a good stir bar. Do not judge stirring unless you have a good stir bar. Some stir bars aren't made well and shouldn't be used to judge the stirring. My stir bars are made very well so I can say that the stirring works great! The top is aluminum, so don't use any hydroxides with this hotplate as they will eat through the aluminum. A good coating of ceramic can fix that though, as I have done. All in all, this is a VERY good hotplate that is well worth the price! I highly recommend buying this. I know I plan to buy more in the future. Pictures is my soxhlet extractor being used on said hotplate. The hotplate works great! So far, I've hit 667°f! Just what I wanted
This worked great for re-hydrating my dried yeast. The temperature setting is a little tricky at first. Only need the lowest setting to reach desired temps. It works great to gently stir the yeast solution.
