The product description matches the product itself. Pictures were accurate. Almost impossible to distiguish from a new item in its condition. It is a refurbshed item, so I received it without the original package (also this was clear in the description) and the remote was missing (not a problem for my needs). The shipment has been arranged timely and with extreme attention to preserve the item. Super appreciated! In my perception, good price/quality balance. Positive experience

Kam absolut klasse verpackt. Nur der Versand war nicht ganz pünktlich. Ansonsten wie beschrieben und fairer Preis. Also Händler uneingeschränkt empfehlenswert. Gerne kaufe ich dort wieder ein. Danke und 5 Sterne 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟

    Western Digital HDD's work well

Good drive, works as expected,no problems with it. I'm using it in a Dell Inspiron 82000, an old computer but I want to keep it alive for legacy software I need to be able to run. I've had good luck with WD drives (Internal/External) over the years

  • Not SSD, but proven tech. Gives old laptops new life. Quiet and cool.

Excellent product, even though the description is wrong (it is not a solid state drive (an SSD). It's got a real disk in it that spins. That's fine by me since these types of hard drives use mature, proven, and inexpensive technology that has had practically all the bugs worked out of it for over a decade now. IT. JUST. WORKS. I bought one to replace a dodgy 15 GB TravelStar in an IBM Thinkpad A22E. When I looked up the Thinkpad's history and specs, I thought that 30 GB was going to be the maximum capacity I could use in it. Come to find out that a 2.5" IDE hard drive is pretty much a 2.5" IDE hard drive no matter how you slice it. I put this disk in and had it loading Ubuntu - quietly and coolly - in about 5 minutes. I then had an ancient IBM laptop with a storage capacity much higher ...

  • This is another excellent drive made by Western Digital.

This is an across-the-board excellent product. I bought it to replace an older Fujitsu 40GB drive and breathe new life into an older Gateway 4025GZ laptop, which it did. In preparation for the new drive, I went ahead and did a complete system restore from the recovery partition on the old drive. I did all the Windows updates, installed Office, and got everything just the way I like it. That way I can keep the old drive as a good image I can always go back on (since that drive had not failed). I used an external hard drive adapter box (StarTech UNIDOCK2U) to do a low-level format on the new drive to NTFS for XP home edition. I then cloned the old drive (using the same adapter) with WD's free Acronis True Image. I replaced the old hard drive in the laptop with the new WD. The new drive ...

  • A nice little drive

Fast! Silent! Used it to replace the 40gb Toshiba drive in my Dell D600. The Western Digital drive is noticeably faster and much quieter. Copying my operating system from the old drive to the new one was easy with a USB drive adapter and the Acronis True Image software available on the Western Digital website. I recommend the WD800BEVE to anyone needing an IDE hard drive for an older laptop.

  • New drive brings added life to older laptop.

I used this drive as an upgrade to an older laptop. The old 4200 RPM drive was very slow and had a smaller memory cache. The newer WD drive with a larger cache, brought the laptop performance from almost unusable, to very acceptable and prolonged the usable life significantly. I hesitated and worried the WD drive would make much of a performance difference, but gladly it made a huge difference! This was a great e-bay purchase!!!
