    Very nice but not fantastic,

    It's a nice book because it's just about irises and there aren't a whole lot of such books. I am not an experienced gardener, so I can't judge whether the information is really good and will give you a splendid display in your own garden, but it seems okay. I've actually found them tricky to grow here in the Mid-West. So I recommend the content with the caveat that I am no expert myself. The big reason I didn't want to rate it with five stars is that I bought it for the photographs, and there are many pretty ones included. But they are only about as good as the ones we take ourselves, and for a book like this I rather expect them to be stunning! Perhaps this is not quite fair. It's a nice book, and since I got it heavily discounted second hand it was a good buy,
