48 year-old Nikon was described as "MINT" - and it certainly was. Actually, it is nearly flawless, in beautiful cosmetic condition and in perfect working order. Seller acknowledged order and followed up if everything was OK. Shipping via DHL arrived much earlier than expected and was extremely well packaged. Perfect transaction!

Fast Shipping. Item as described. Seller communication marked as 4 stars because the seller never marked the item as shipped on added tracking in ebay. Everything else was great and would purchase from again.

A total winner in the standard zoom lenghts

This lens is light and sharp. If you don't need the wide f2.8 aperture, you'll love it. I tested my copy and found it sharper than my copy of the f2.8 12-40mm pro...old version. And I thought my copy of the 12-40mm was sharp. It is. This new lens is a bit sharper...everywhere. At every aperure and three zoom lengths. Plus, this new lens has almost no asigmatism. My older 12-40mm had a little, but it wasn't much. The new lens, the 12-45mm is a total winner.

  • Sacrifice 2 stops of light for ease of use and close focus!

Sharp images, smaller and lighter than the 12-40mm that I sold to get this. I do miss the faster f/2.8 of the bigger lens, but the size of the 12-45mm more than makes up for the loss of the two stops of light -- at least for me. The excellent IBIS of the Olympus camera bodies helps the slower aperture work very well, and the close focus is really convenient. This doesn't have the manual focus clutch or the customizable switch of the bigger lens either, but I have to say that I don't miss them.

  • High quality optics in a very compact size.

High quality optics in a very compact size. I got it for hiking and traveling, since the 12-100mm f/4 lens, which I use mostly now, is a good bit heavier and bulkier. Eventually, I plan to get the 40-150mm f/4 PRO lens (which appears will also be small) when it comes out sometime in 2022 ( so I understand), and carry both of the them. With one on the camera and the other in a fanny pack will put a lot less stress on my neck and shoulders, so much better for hiking and traveling.

  • Compact All-arounder

Compact all-arounder PRO grade glass that replaced my original 12-42 mm kit lens. I still have to find what not to love about this lens. I have received it without original manufacturer packaging and manual perhaps because it was pullout or display model which is more proof of its durability. Since I'm an old school guy I also like more than anything else its manual focusing ring just to keep my left hand busy . Almost perfect fit for my PEN-F Oly

  • Excellent lens

Good lens. Images compare favorably with 12-40 f2.8 but in a smaller, more compact package. I like this lens, especially for smaller m4/3 cameras like the EM5 iii.
