    One of Robin Cook's best

    This story was gripping - had a definite effect on my blood pressure and heart rate. The scenes in Africa were chilling, eye opening and not just on a literal level. The scientific process became a learning experience to help my non-scientific mind catch up on the precursors of today's medical treatment research. The most important lesson from 'Chromosome 6' however, is the ethical predicament it presents. It forces you to look closely at the 'whatever means' philosophy. I realized that I need to step back and do some serious thinking about what I feel, what I believe, and medical needs. My only disappointment was in the ending. I felt that Mr Cook said, Ok, we've got our protagonists safely back in the USA, that's it. Breathe out. The problem is that I wasn't ready. I needed to be ...

    Great forensic mystery!

    A co-worker of mine originally lent me this book to read while I was on medical leave. What a GREAT book! It was the first book I've ever read by Robin Cook and I really have to say he is a VERY talented author. At any rate I decided to buy a copy to give as a gift during Christmas time and it turned out to be a hit! Definitely a great book for those who enjoy crime mysteries and forensic stories.

    wonderful writer

    This writer has a different way of writing then I have experience. Takes real life, real research and makes you think. I just love his writing. He knows how to get you interested at the begining and keeps it going. If you never have read one of Robin Cooks I would recommend trying this one.
