About this product

Product Information

The Lost in Blue series of survival games continues on DS with this third installment, which features four playable characters and over 20 mini-games. As in previous titles, players can use each stranded individual's strengths to overcome various challenges associated with being lost on a tropical island. Players can work alone or with others to map their surroundings, make fires, hunt animals, gather food, and more. In a nod to the television series Lost, each character's cryptic past will gradually be revealed through a series of flashbacks. The goal is to escape the island using tools earned from exploration as well as clues learned from resurfaced memories. Themed mini-games include conversing with dolphins, river rafting, preparing food, and various other lighthearted activities.

  • Lost in blue 3 for Nintendo DS

I bought this game because I have part one and two and wanted 3. There are some improvements in this version. You don't die as quickly because your life/stamina meter goes down a lot slower so that is a plus but you eventually have to take care of four people which gets a little annoying when gathering water etc. But there are several oil drums to aquire which hold 30 servings of water and your friends will drink while your away so it helps if you get one for each house. Another thing is when you move from house to house your firewood, rope, bamboo and stuff on your shelf does not move with you so you will have to stock up on your supplies for each house or bring them with you. Also you only get one file at a time instead of two so you can't share a game with someone or play different ...

  • Harder than the first 2 but Fun.

I have played the first 2 and so I wanted to play the third one. It's more challenging then the others. I like the story line and that you can play 4 different charachters. They changed a few things, I don't like that it's pretty useless to make lunch boxes for eating, because they don't last very long. You can't hunt as a girl, but at least you can get your guy friends to go get you food. It does make it harder when you need fur for building, because only one brings fur and not often. It's still a lot of fun, and if the game wasn't challenging I wouldn't want to play it.

  • Lost In Blue 3 - GREAT!

I really like this game. Its mostly for those who like a brain challenge. Its not too hard but not too easy. Its a game about people who are stranded on an island and they need to survive in order to get 'rescued', hopefully. You start off in one area and you have to hunt, cook, and build your way around the island. Its a great 'real'ish time game, and you can actually die if you don't take care of yourself, and its also a game over if your partner dies. I thinks its a really great game. Kudos to the creator.

  • A good survival game

If you want a game where you have to find food, cook, find water and explore everithig to learn how to survive, this game is for you. Also you can play many times (2 characters plus 2 unlockable characters more) to unlock new CGs from the history, unlock recipies, complete the item album... It's just one of this games that you can play for houndreds of hours.

  • Similar to SIMS Castaway

I bought the game because of the reviews that I had read about the game. I liked the concept, but I am not all that thrilled with the game. Almost everyone agreed that it was so much better than SIMS Castaway. If you like that game you will like this one. However, I find the extremely similar, but perhaps find this one slightly more frustrating. Maybe I need to spend more time playing it, but really doesn't hold much interest for me.
