BETWEEN 2 STOOLS
This is a great idea that didn't quite get the treatment it deserved. I would have loved to give a higher rating, but the lack of subtlety and heavy handed treatment of the moral message cut a lot of the ground beneath its feet. More than anything it is the script that overdoes it, since the two protagonists do their roles with great aplomb, and the film moves at a brisk pace, without letting up at any time. What really spoiled it for me was the almost slapstick approach to the violence, which simply went gratuitously over the top, more particularly during the mayhem at the end. The final result is a film that is neither really funny nor quite serious enough. This should be mandatory viewing in school
a masterpiece. This film has america so pegged, Their is not one moment that I could not relate to, or agree with. They point out just how awful all those reality stars are, and the rotten people who think they are great. This film really shows the loss of shame and decency in America, in that no body accepts responsibility for there actions and we no longer believe in right or wrong. this film is something in a the realm of George Carlin or Mike Judge.a masterpiece.
