"Good product great price"
Overall I think this is a Great product and very well priced. If there was anything I would ask to be improved would be the "sound". I find it plays extremely low even on the highest setting. I had to purchase a small set of speakers to use with it. However, I would still recommend this product.

Mostly effective but slightly buggy
When functioning correctly, the unit successfully converted cassette tapes into MP3 audio files. However, the unit suffers from sporadic noise issues, wherein it will occasionally suffer what seems like 60-cycle feedback from nearby AC lines or sources such as transformers, or would also occasionally suffer from intermittent, pulsed humming. Both of these phenomena may indicate internal grounding problems with the unit's circuitry. Typically, turning the unit off and leaving it rest for five to ten minutes resulted in elimination of these problems. Looks like an old cassette recorder/player but it has a USB port!
Glad to get it. A little tricky for me to get my 49 year old tape on a thumb drive the way I wanted it, but it worked and for that I am thankful. Like others have mentioned, the instructions were hard for me to follow. I'm still not sure how long to hold the, "record" button or how many times to press it but after about three tries I did get my recording of a singing group at a camp meeting on the thumb drive with each song separated so I could give each one a separate title. Good quality transferring for the price
This tape to digital converter works well for general transferring. If you are a Mac user you need to format your flashdrive to DOS in the Mac Disk Utility. It won't transfer to the normal Mac formatting, but that's an easy change.
