About this product

Product Information

A toy company believes it is onto something when it employs the latest government military technology in a series of action figures, enabling them to talk. They underestimate the power of the special micro chips they've employed, however, as the two opposing sides of the toy line start thinking for themselves and engaging in real combat. The Commando Elite (belligerent war toys) vow to wipe out the Gorgonites (kindhearted misfit fantasy creature figures) in a suburban neighborhood. A young boy, with the help of the kind Gorgonites, must protect his home and family from the Commandos. Listen for the voices of Spinal Tap (Mike McKean, Chris Guest, and Harry Shearer) as Gorgonite Voices as well as Sarah Michelle Gellar and Christina Ricci (as the voices of evil, mutated Barbie dolls).

  • Small Soldiers

Small Soldiers is a great movie, my son (11) loves it and I really enjoyed it too. It has great animation and fun performances by Jay Mohr and David Cross. The voice talents in this film are also quite good, with plenty of big names to go around including Tommy Lee Jones, Frank Langella, Ernest Borgnine, Jim Brown, Bruce Dern, George Kennedy, Clint Walker, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, Harry Shearer, and Christina Ricci. I think any fan of 80's Gremlin type comedy would enjoy this movie.

  • The movie.

This was one of my best best best childhood movie I ever watched. I grew up watching this movie mostly every weekend. I really admire army procedures and their gears. Maybe that's why I love so much this movie that now I probably will join the army. But Not sure about it. Any ways, this is a great family movie to watch with mom and dad and all of your brothers and sisters. Probably teh sisters will start hating soldier toys because in this movie the commandos elite team will transform Barbie dolls into Frankenstein. Over all, excellent movie!!!

  • Great purchase!

The DVD was great quality for being used. The price was great also seeing as all others I found were over 30 dollars! Very happy with this purchase my boyfriend loved this childhood classic as a gift!

  • Small Soldiers....Great action movie for ENTIRE family!

This is a great movie for the entire family! It is not boring for the adults, and it has just the right level of action/adventure for the little ones! It is the perfect DVD to put into my 8 year old son's Easter basket! I watched it alone late one night and immediately wanted to buy a copy for my son! I cannot believe I'm just now seeing it for the first time, it was made in 1998! There's NO profanity or anything of that nature! Grab yourself a copy!
