Great Interface!
If you're 'on the fence' about choosing an audio interface, you simply cannot go wrong with a Focusrite Scarlett. In addition to working quietly with no audible him, and built in pre amps that make anything sound good, the unit is made of metal, quite durable and quite attractive..

The Sum of it!
its ok for the price but its not much better than an Mbox2, but I recommend it for vocals, if you got a decent mic, but if you have an mbox dont think this is a major upgrade for you, its not! It works well with mac, so I hear and I know its not that great with Windows, the setup process really sucks. But if you don't mind the headaches and want to have it as a secondary or an extra interface go for it, its a good deal in that case. Im not really disappointed with it but , Don't believe the hype! Good basic recording interface
Easy to use and connect to recording software. Only has two channels, one XLR and one 1/4" jack. Has output monitor jack for external speakers or headphones.

Best Value for a Great Product
The Scarlett was brand new in packaging and works perfectly. I was able to install the software that comes with the interface and set it up as my own. This is a great price for a brand new Scarlett - I did a lot of price comparison before buying. My item arrived early as well.

Pro gear, as expected.
Crystal clear sound, as expected from this manufacturer. Connecting a non-pro headset proved to be interesting, though. I had to get an XLR adapter (from XLR to 3.5mm) that also did voltage conversion of the 48v -> 3v. And a standard non-pro mic won't work at all on Line 2, even with a 3.5mm -> 1/4in converter. That's no fault of the box. It is designed for pro gear, which all works just fine. I just happen to be using a gamer headset with slightly diff design of jacks. But got it to work!
