About this product

Product Information

Immerse yourself in the story of Enchanted Arms as you explore 75 different environments, and complete multiple objectives and branching missions while listening to Japanese or English dialogue. Atsuma is an Enchanter-in-training with the power to control the angry golems with a mysterious power embedded in his arm. Enchanted Arms features a fighting sequence that is intended to rely on strategy as well as power. The combat plays out on a grid of 12 squares that you and the enemy may move around on.

There are no classes in Enchanted Arms, so how you select your skills determines how successful you are in battle. With the help of the Sixaxis controller, you can control your weapons by moving the paddle or by using the analog sticks. During the sequence and before your characters make a move; you will select each of your four group members and the attack they will use. When you are done, you can sit back and watch the action take place. Each character draws their power from elements such as fire, wind, water, and earth, and each attack a character performs will be either a skill, EX, or item attack.

There are over 500 characters to interact with in the game, and 130 different controllable creatures to find and acquire including 30 PS3 exclusive animals. The story includes over an hour of cinematic cut-scenes that can be skipped after the first viewing.

Seller offered a 10% discount, which was welcome. The item arrived on time (Complete in box with manual) as shown. The cover art, manual & Blu-ray disc are in very good condition as shown & as described. The Blu-Ray disc plays perfectly without any issue. It came in a thin plastic sheet, not a bubble envelope. The box was a little bit broken at the bottom, this wasn't mentioned in the listing but it isn't terrible so I can live with it. A positive experience overall as everything else was fine.

  • Average Game ***RENTAL***

Enchanted Arms is a capable and often enjoyable role-playing game, but it's also one that you'll likely forget as soon as you finish it. The Good: Surprisingly natural, funny dialogue for a role-playing game; unique battle system is fun and challenging; the collectible golems are all unique and useful. The Bad: Awful English voice acting; too much tedious backtracking through large, vacant, and uninteresting areas; aside from some flashy battle animations, the visuals are unimpressive; it's frequently difficult to get a good view of the battlefield; sixaxis control features feel silly and out of place. Given the chance, I would rent this game instead of buying.

  • Excellent, Underrated Game

This game got mixed or bad reviews. I tried it anyway, and was really surprised at how good it is. I'm 31 hours in for what looks like a 50 or so hour game. It's mostly the main story and little else. There's only one side quest that I'm seeing, and you can only do it late it in the game when your characters are powered up. However, the story is so deep and interesting that I keep going back to it just to see what will happen next. I've been playing RPGs for about 21 years and though I don't really have the free time anymore to have marathon sessions, I still come back to Enchanted Arms when I can. Highly recommended.

  • 'Enchanting' Family Fun Game

Not the best game I've played but has got merits. Its a Japanese style RPG (turn-based), so if you're not into that, don't buy it. If you're into levelling and customising, this is it!(Similar to the game 'Suikoden') Has a unique battle system and loads of characters to choose from to customise your very own battle team (Atsuma the lead can't be changed but you can customise the other 3). Not the best graphics, but good. Voice acting was good, but from the dialogue, seems the game is targeting at the very young to the early teens. Old-fashioned story line, but very healthy message/moral of story throughout. No blood, no gore. IMHO, this game is definitely worth buying and keeping, because apart from playing it, you can also have it to ...

  • Enchanted Arms is not too bad

Even though the title has had some minor flaws, it is still in my opinion a very good role playing game. Playing the game kinda takes me back to the times when I was playing through FFX. So many people seem to complain about the English dialouge, but if they don't want to hear it they can just simply switch it back to Japanese audio with English subtitles. I'm not very far in the game and it is weird that one of the charcters is gay lol, but I still appreciate the role-playing elements of the game. I feel PS3 would have a much greater impact in sales if they were to release more role-playing games on their system.

  • Maybe rent before you buy..

Enchanted Arms is a fun and enjoyable RPG for the PS3.. Some good things about this game are.. The battle system is unique and can be fun once you get the hang of it, fun to collect Golems that are each unique and you may need their powers throughout the game.. But of course there are some bad as well.. The English voice acting was really unbearable at times, alot of tedious backtracking through areas, the visuals were not the best other than some in battle and it's sometimes difficult to get a good view of the battlefield.. So to sum it all up, I would say rent this game before you buy it but if you like it, then by all means, purchase this game if you really get into it.. I mean they did port this game over so it's not like they spent all this time on it but it is still good, have ...
