Purtian's Pride Milk Thistle
I would highly recommend Puritan's Pride Milk Thistle product to everyone. Milk thistle in and of itself is a wonderful supplement for the liver. It aids in the detox of the liver and cleans out the free radicals. Now the important thing to remember is you want the best and puriest form of Milk Thistle. That is where Puritan's Pride comes into play. Their product is a pure as you can get anywhere. I have tried others without a lot of success. When I started using Puritan's brand, I have seen and felt not only the results of using their product, but also my energy level has improved. Since I suffer from too much iron that likes to store up in my liver due to my DNA, it is very important for me to watch closely as to my iron intake that is where Puritan's Pride Milk Thistle provides ... Sorry to give a "middle of the road / neutral" rating but I actually have not taken this long enough to know how well it's really working. Prob is fine, no weird or otherwise side effects to date. Wasn't expecting "soft gels" but that has been a plus so far as I've had some bad experiences in the past with the caplets you can open. Definitely a good deal!

As well as some other health benefits, Its herbal remedy is known as milk thistle extract. Milk thistle extract has a high amount of silymarin (between 65–80%) that has been concentrated from the milk thistle plant. The silymarin extracted from milk thistle is known to have antioxidant, antiviral and anti-inflammatory properties. There are many websites where you can read up about Milk thistle and make your own educated decisions about it. Personally i believe Milk thistles main benefit is it's liver supporting abilities, it is said to actually be able to help the liver regenerate more efficiently, now that doesn't mean, "oh boy i can go out and drink everyday all day and ... But this benefit of Milk thistle does work in my opinion pretty well as i have experienced it myself. I went to the doctor to have some blood-work done and when it returned my doctors main concern that he had noticed was that my liver enzymes were extremely high, so high in fact that he wanted to perform a biopsy on my liver asap! Instead, after talking together we decided to give it some time and recheck my blood-work at a later date before deciding to go all in and do a biopsy. I believe my liver was having some issues/possible problems with some medication i was taking as i do not drink. Anyway i had heard of Milk thistle before, i used to be a health nut and i learned about it through my nutty health research habits so i decided to try it, what did i have to lose right? I took it for a month straight religiously every day as instructed, at the end of the month i went back to my doctor to re-do my blood-work, check my liver again and my doctor came into the room after getting my results and asked me, "what have you been doing health wise since last i saw you?" I asked, "why" is something wrong? is my liver worse?" He said, "no, not at all. In fact your liver enzymes are perfect." That's when i told him about Milk thistle, what it was said to do and that i had been taking it since my last visit. He said," well i've never heard of Milk thistle and have no knowledge of it or what it does, but it certainly seems of helped you, so keep up with it."
