    Neiman-Marcus Retro Luxuries !

    I have enjoyed shopping at Neiman=Marcus and I purchased this book instead of the Christmas catalog this year.This book tells how the Neiman-Marcus family started selling exquisite merchandise through mail order.It depicts a wide variety of items with both black and white as well as color photographs.Unfotunately,the author's narrative does not match up with the photographs and you end up searching for the pictures and then returning to the story.Also,some of the drawings and pictures are small which makes it difficult to see fine details in these extravagant items.I found it interesting when the author tells the prices of these items as these were the prices between 1908 when the store was founded and 1985 when this book was written.It is interesting to note that some previously rare ...
