Excellent. Should be read and shared with readers of all ages. Get the illustrated editions.
The book .........and the translation (very important) is excellent. Katherine Woods translation (1971) is excellent. More modern translations are poor and lose the flavor of this excellent book. Unfortunately, the copy that I received is annotated by the previous owner on almost every page! This is certainly not "very good" condition.

Enjoy this Classic Children's story for Grownups
[ "If you please - draw me a sheep!" ... When a mystery is too overpowering, one dare not disagree. ] This how the narrator comes to meet the Little Prince. Stranded in the desert in danger of death, the narrator quickly learns a bit about what is really important in this journey we call life. My mom used to read to us on road trips, and this was one of the stories she read. The book weighs in at 113 small pages; many of those are only partially filled with text, and others contain a singled sketched drawing. Mom would always pause and show us the pictures. And we remembered the pictures - and the general story - for years to come. This book is a classic children's story for adults. It has a light and melancholy mood to it. From the inhabitants he meets on these planets - and from the inhabitants he encounters on earth - the prince learns about people and things. And we learn about ourselves. The Little Prince is a sympathetic character. He is friendly and outgoing to all, whether they be people, animal or flower. As a child, he views with the world with innocence. Through his eyes we are able to see the world as it really is, looking beyond the things that occupy our time and resources. The basic ideas are not taught nor preached, but simply shown in a story. As the reader, you come to your own conclusions. And that is the simple joy of this book. If you want to know how to draw a sheep or an elephant (though you cannot draw); if you ever worried about baobabs growing big enough to destroy your planet; if you can seriously see how a single rose amongst the masses can still be unique in all the universe, then you should buy or borrow your own copy of this book. Enjoy the story, the friendship, and the journey.

Beautiful perspective of Life through travels of little guy in adult world
I was excited to get such a great deal on four copies of this book. I collect it in different languages to have it handy to share on my travels. I purchased this set as gifts to my fellow humanitarians working abroad. The little Prince is such a great reminder of how we forget the most important aspects of life when we enter adulthood. It takes the perspective of a little prince to reveal some important aspects of life. Love this, quick read. One I've enjoyed over and over.I was excited to get such a great deal on four copies of this book. I collect it in different languages to have it handy to share on my travels. I purchased this set as gifts to my fellow humanitarians working abroad. The little Prince is such a great reminder of how we forget the most important aspects of life when we enter adulthood. A literary classic!
I recommend this book for high schoolers through to the elderly. We meet a wonderful little prince from an asteroid near to Earth. By seeing humanity through his uncomplicated and foreign perspective, we see our world through fresh eyes. This endearing novel was quickly made a favorite classic in my library. I was particularly fond of his discussion of his beloved rose and what the fox taught him. I will use this knowledge in my future relationship with the people I love. Please read this book. Although it is written for schoolchildren, the lessons given are most useful for adults who are already fixed in their beliefs. It is short and readable enough to read in a night or two, but it shall be cherished for ever! Tell the others!! :)I recommend this book for high schoolers through to the elderly. The Little Prince
Great book for kids. Reminds me of my childhood. My aunt used to read this to my cousins and I. I fell in love with this book and have been reading books since then. Great story for kids.
