    Some very stout guitar work on this cd

    Early Malmsteen and Vai on guitar with Graham Bonnet (former Rainbow frontman after Ronnie James left) on vocals. You may only recognize one track on this cd from the radio (if your unfamiliar with this band that is), the song that was the biggest hit for Ritchie Blackmore's Rainbow "Since You've Been Gone" is performed in live form on here, and its a pretty good performance. Overall some of the songs are weak (especially towards the end of the cd) but all-in-all this is a gem for someone who really enjoys hard rock guitar music and also for someone who is trying to collect material from 2 of the best guitarists to come out of the 80's music scene (Steve and Yngwie).

    Alcatrazz - The Best Of Alcatrazz

    If you do not have any of Alcatrazz's releases, this would be a good starting point, as is the case with most best of... compilations. The band went through three very distinctive phases as far as sound is concerned, and this CD gives a pretty good sampler of their changing sound. It also comes with a short essay by Gary Shea, I believe, which gives a little bit of insight on the inner works of the band.

    i like that steve vai and yngwie malmsteen are on one cd / the cd should have been called the best and the worst of alcatrazz /cause the last four song with guitar player danny johnson sucked ass a was worthless
