    not worth your money

    Do yourself a favor and kick out a little more cash for a card with a better quality chipset. I experienced long delays in recognizing connected drives and data transfer rates that topped out at 7 Megs per second. Compare that to the integrated port transfer rate of between 20 and 70 Megs per second with the same drive, and you will know why I don't recommend this adapter. There should be a difference between read and write transfer rates, but with this card, there isn't. There seems to be a problem with the drivers developed for this card, but because it's discontinued, don't even dream about updates.
