Great jazz
There's no one like Blossom Dearie. Her nuances and demure singing style draw you in and capture you. What she lacks in vocal ability she makes up for in pure musicality and phrasing and whimsicle delight. She is also a top notch jazz pianist and she is paired with some great players. Ray Brown bass, Mundell Lowe guitar, Ed Thigpen drums,produced by Norman Granz the founder of Verve records . The songs she selected for this album are really old but I'll bet you never heard them like this before. I never say this about any artist but I enjoyed every song on this album.
