    Awesome sound! Compact and stylish design.

    I teach dance and travel to several locations. I want to be able to use my playlists and don't want to carry around a lot of equipment. This speaker is awesome! It has great sound and is loud enough to use in a large room filled with people for my classes. I can change songs or volume on the fly making it unnecessary to keep running back to the stereo. Many people ask me about it including teachers from other studios. They like the way it looks, like how it performs and love the sound quality. They ask me how much it was and when I tell them, they say, "hmm" and nod their head in a way that I would read as they think is it a good value. It is so easy to use that even I, the non-tech person, got it to work the first time without reading the directions.

    Appearence tells.

    Purchased used but did not expect it to have been over-used. My speaker had may blemishes that may tell me it was abused. Sound quality is very disappointing, especially in lower register. Unfortunately, seller did describe the speaker could have blemishes and other reviewers have reported on the poor sound quality. I should have believed them. My purchase was not of good value.

    Can't beat Bose for sound quality

    As expected, this unit has great sound quality, great fit and finish and long battery life. The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is that the base is a little lacking. But overall it's the best in it's class and super portable. Would buy it again!

    Bose Sound Line III - Great bargain in portable sound!

    This product is very portable. Uses both blue-tooth and hard-wire. On a full charge it lasts sometimes over 8-hrs. The sound quality is excellent. If you place it with its back within 1-foot from a wall the base response is amazing. Bose always does portable sound right. The first one that I purchased, I thought that I paid too much for however, after I used it, I now believe that it is worth every penny and more.

    No Auto Shutoff

    This is a great sounding speaker and is made very well. My major complaint is that we intended to use this in tandem with Alexa which requires the Soundlink to be continuously plugged in to be always responsive.. Bose recommends that this speaker not be constantly plugged in as it will adversely affect the battery life. We also intended to use the Soundlink to fall asleep to, but without a sleep timer or auto shutoff, the battery is totally run down by morning unless it is plugged in, which as I say, is not recommended.
