    Guess I got the one out of a hundred that is defective. I thought maybe the batteries were in the wrong way but it just won't work. I'm not even going to send it back, I can still do it the old-fashioned way.

    It's worth it, and so are you!

    I have carpel tunnel in my wrists and elbows, so i can't be winding with a non-motorized winder. There is a learning curve and you will master it installing your first couple of strings. The four (4) AA batteries were still going strong when I git the last string strung. I think it's good for quire a few string changes before you need to change the batteries The less time you are messing with strings, the more time you can be playing and practicing!
