  • solid game, even if it is a castlevania clone

I had this game as a kid and was thrilled to find it again. In many ways it feels similar to the first Castlevania Game. The mechanics are a bit different, and the challenge level is pretty high. The main difference is that your character has a falcon to use at your disposal for attacks and to open doors. There are also different power-ups that can be used. While the gameplay is similar, this is definitely a unique game. Playing it, you will find that the challenge level can be quite difficult. Navigating the levels, mazes, and constant onslaught a bad guys is tough. Unfortunately the controls in this game are not the greatest. This only adds to the difficulty level. If your fan of games like these, this is definitely worth a pick up. It is a Hidden Gem in the Nintendo lineup. The music ...

  • Not great but nostalgic for me.

It's an average game that takes a huge amount of inspiration from Castlevania, but also adds in interesting puzzle elements of having a falcon hit switches and attack enemies. You can control the falcon yourself or have a friend on the second controller take control of the falcon. Not the best game in the world but a must have to get a copy of this game from my childhood.

  • Excellent Game!

If you are into Retro Games, this is one to add to your collection! Great game, great to play! This IS NOT a Castlevania Clone - it has its own unique game play and storyline. Yes sone graphics are awful but such is the plight of some 8 bit games! Add this to your collection, you will not be dissapointed!

  • Good game but not as good as Castlevania games.

This is a good game for those seeking more Castlevania style gameplay. The game is not near as good as the Castlevania games but does well enough to be worth a tour. Controlling Orin (the protagonist) and his bird often feels clunky; otherwise, I would have given this game a Good rating. Once you get past a good sized learning curve, this is not a bad game. The boss combats do require thinking and utilization of all available resources; therefore, those players who simply wish to repeatedly mash the attack button would quickly become frustrated. Overall: 3 out of 5 stars.
