About this product

Product Information

Matt Damon returns as amnesiac assassin Jason Bourne in this fast-paced follow-up to 2002's THE BOURNE IDENTITY. Forced out of hiding as the result of an attempt on his life, Bourne fulfills his earlier promise to wreak vengeance on his former CIA employers, some of whom may be in league with murderous Russians. Brian Cox and Joan Allen are both great as warring agency chiefs convinced Bourne orchestrated the murder of two of their own in a deal gone bad. Thanks to tense, gritty direction by Paul Greengrass (BLOODY SUNDAY), the plot stays tight, the characters believable, and suspense and thrills flow steady. Moody photography enhances the urban European locations, which--combined with handheld camerawork and fast editing--keeps the action realistic and CGI-free. Vividly capturing the fatalist flavor of Robert Ludlum's original novel, this is "globalism noir" at its finest. Franka Potente and Julia Stiles are back from the original, and the always dependable Marton Csokas shows up as one of Bourne's deadly fellow operatives. A rousing car chase through Moscow may outdo the ones in RONIN and THE FRENCH CONNECTION for visceral speed and length. As the icing on the cake, John Powell provides a menacing, ambient percussive score.

  • Bourne Excitement

The best of the espionage genre! What a relief from the typical dumb plotless action film. The location filming in places such as Berlin add an authenticity not found in the usual genre film like the Bond series. Plus Matt Damon is perfect as the highly intelligent Jason Bourne. In this sequel we trace the moral question of redemption and choice. Not to mention how a moral person can be seduced by a corrupt and evil government. Bourne’s pursuit of the light is wonderful to observe.[ See the extraordinary vehicle chaise in Moscow and his choice of the light tunnel as opposed to the dark one!]

  • The Bourne Supremacy

The plot carries on from the original movie, there a several twists in the film, which keep you guessing right upto the end of the film. And then you get to a climatic end, in true Bourne Fashion...he is gone again, leaving a suspected prey alone and wondering how did he know? Matt Damon is a true Bourne for this part, I cannot imagine anyone else portraying this part. I would like to see a sequel, if possible. If you want to see other Matt Damon films, I would recommend you also seeing this versatile actor in "Good Will Hunting"

  • Good show

I like Damon and this series. There's a connection between these movies and 'The Green Zone' that helps explain why we really went to war in Iraq and who got all the money.

  • Bourne Supremacy is supreme!

I love these movies. They are very action packed and exciting! The action scenes are more realistic than most Hollywood action scenes (though not realistic by real life standards). A viewer instantly feels for Jason Bourne and wants him to win. Though he is an assasin, he chooses to spare lives whenever he can. Jason cannot be beaten. He thinks five steps ahead of everyone and he notices everything! Love it!
