Premiering in 1963, broadcast on prime-time from 1968-1971, and airing in syndication until 1988, the Emmy Award-winning MUTUAL OF OMAHA'S WILD KINGDOM was one of the longest-running and most beloved television series of all time. A pioneer of the narrative nature-documentary format, the educational series followed venerable host and ecologist Marlin Perkins (later joined by Peter Gros and Jim Fowler) as he trekked to the farthest reaches of the globe to study wild animals in their natural habitats. This nostalgic collection presents a second volume of the most requested episodes about the African wild, featuring in-depth looks at zebras, ostriches, flamingos, chimpanzees, and many others.

    Wild Kingdom-The African wild 2

    This dvd set,like African wild 1 is fantastic (and very reasonably priced). I've always loved Marlin Perkins and the wild kingdom show and the African animals such as the elephant,rhino,and gorilla are some of my all time favorites. You can't go wrong buying this!

    Great product. Very informative show!

    I had never seen the original Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom before purchasing this product, but I was impressed. I bought it because my brother and I both enjoy nature documentaries and both of us enjoyed it instantly.

    my husband loves these kinds of movies and i got it at a great price. it has a lot of documentry in it and it is very educational.
