Great for light snow
I used to think I would never care for an electric snowblower. That was until I used a friend's Toro 1800 Power Curve. For 6" or less of light snow it does a really good job. It's actually faster to get the power cord out, drag it around, and wind it back up than to get the gasoline one started after sitting all year. It's more powerful than the same size gas version. The friend claims she had hers for almost 20 yrs and never done anything to it. There's nothing to maintain and no gas motor to tuneup in the fall and winterize in the spring. Sometimes when it's below zero, the gas motor will not start. The electric one always runs. And, it's so light, I can hang it on the garage wall out of the way. I have a quad with a hydraulic snow blade. It's more hassle than the little electric ... I used to think I would never care for an electric snowblower. The electric Toro is so light I can maneuver it wherever I need to. No shoveling anymore. It does bog down in thick wet snow. We only get about one of those per in central Indiana. We only get about 5 snows total that are worth getting the blower out. So this little electric blower is perfect for that.

Great tool for quickly removing snow from a deck
I bought one of these to remove snow from my 18 ft x 18 ft deck plus steps and walkway. I got tired of lifting snow over the railing to throw it into the yard. We're in Michigan and get a lot of lake effect snow over the winter months. I used my power shovel at least a dozen times so far this winter. It makes removing snow like running an upright vacuum in the house. Quick and easy. There are a few spots on my deck where screws are high enough to catch on a snow shovel. I can run this by the bedroom window without waking up my wife. She hears a plain snow shovel. This blower moves right over them without effort. It is also quieter than a manual shovel which the Mrs. likes since I often run this at 5:00 a.m. and sometimes early so I can leave for work. I ended up using it on a 2 ... Yes. up to 50 ft of 16 works, but I'm an electrical engineer and under stand voltage drop and motor loading so I will not choose an extension cord on price, but on the load. I use a 12-3 100 ft cord to do the parking area. The one draw-back of this shovel is there is no chute to direct the snow so if the wind is blowing in the wrong direction the snow may blow back on you and what was just cleaned. I wish I would have bought one of these years earlier. I've actually enjoyed snow removal using this tool.

Very easy instructions. Handle is length adjustable and upper grip adjusts angle to suit almost anyone. Cord lock is easy and nice to prevent extension cord from uncoupling. Only draws 7.5 amps so works in any household outlet without tripping breaker like bigger blowers can do. Best for walks decks small drives. Handled 5inch wet snow fairly well. Stores nicely and does not take up much room.

Makes winter easier
I had one of these power shovels before and I wore it out. I like the new hand grip on the handle as it makes it easier to push. I have one issue with the screw loosening on the handle which will eventually slide off when using the machine. It's nothing that a screw driver can't fix, but it is a pain to keep tightening the screw.
