    Powerful for it's age.

    About as fast as it gets for socket 478 systems. There are faster chips on this platform but they cost considerably more for very little difference in performance.

    Awesome processor for a Win XP system; For that purpose, it's a great value

    I purchased this processor from Austin Goodwill Computer Works for a great price. This is an older processor, and is no where advisable for a modern Windows 7 or Windows 8 system. However, my reason for purchasing this was for a Windows XP era-specific machine. And for that purpose, it's very well suited. I would recommend this processor for someone who wants solid performance on a Windows XP machine, for whatever reason. Just be sure that you're purchasing the 800 MHz FSB version -- not the 533 MHz FSB version. The latter is a poor performer.

    Windows 7 works great

    Upgraded old Compaq system with this CPU, then upgraded from XP to Windows 7. Cruises the internet nicely, good for MS Office or watch DVDs. Not a real game machine but plays most DX9 games at medium settings. 3.0GHz CPU, 2GB memory, 256MB video card and Win 7.

    Genuine clean Proccessor with a tube of compound that wasn't old.

    For a used old proccessor, it has been so far reliable. Everything I hoped it would do for this old HP Laptop is going well. It was clean and had the correct specs.
