About this product

Product Information

High-impact, supernaturally infused, anime-inspired martial arts duels are fought, in high-def, throughout the combat arenas and adventuresome realms of Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Tenkaichi.

The over-the-top fighting plays out in three dimensions, often high above the ground, and is characterized by long-range attacks, crushing blows, fearless charges, and last-moment counters. As in the anime, fights often feature two combatants racing toward one another for a furious bout of action, followed by a moment of recovery at a distance, and then another rush together, until only one remains standing.

The game's "Impact Break" system emphasizes the enormity of the exaggerated hand-to-hand action, with attacks so powerful that they the tear apart the landscape itself, leaving crevasses and craters that stretch across the earth. An extensive selection of camera angles helps to highlight the big hits (and misses) in the style of the cartoon series. As in the earlier Budokai Tenkaichi games, for Xbox and PS2, a combat-driven story mode is available, featuring 15 super-sized boss fights, along with pick-up-and-play versus battles starring dozens of Dragon Ball Z characters. Players can create their own customized characters, choosing body type, hair, facial features, and attire, as well as fighting style.

Good buy for an old rough game

Came in good packaging and without issue. Cleaned it up and tested it. Works great on my 360. Can tell that there are audio skips at random times due to the small chipped off section on the disk but not enough to disrupt anything. Still needs more testing but overall playable even after a few hours.

  • Worth adding to your collection, but not worth the dedication

almost all dbz games are the same in one way or another. where as raging blast takes skill, this requires chance. you can be an awesome gamer, but if you dont win a clash (occurs after any combo) then the fight can quickly turn to their favor. story mode is pretty simple, hero mode is the best part of this game considering its backwards game mechanics. if you own budokai 3, or tenkaichi 3, or raging blast 2, then you DONT NEED this game. again, this has a single player mode that allows the player to FULLY CUSTOMIZE their own character and traverse on a parallel storyline to claim the dragonballs. its fun and frustrating but once you get the hang of it, its quite enjoyable. it does get a bit unforgiving at times. difficulty spikes here and there. IE: you can lose a fight while barely doing ...

  • Definetly a fun game for those DBZ fans out there!

Great DBZ game, I love the chance to create 3 different characters of my own, still wish they could have a little more freedom in customizing. Story is okay, kind of repetitive with the fights and how they go, don't like most of the voices of the characters though (nothing like the original DBZ voices for the most part). The fighting is quick paced, very much about the timing with the fighting system. Overall, good game, can be repetitive with fights but what fighting game isn't repetitive in some way

  • Amazing game

I am reliving playing many dragonball z games since budokai and watching dragonball z too! All the games were great but the ones with more exploring, fighting range and rpg are the best! Some are better in movie scenes, some in fighting modes, some in create mode, some exploring and some overall but all were amazing great games. I played all and love all!
