The Commodore 64 was boxed and packed to alleviate any damage in shipment. When unpacking the C64 there was a rattle in the Breadbin case. After opening and further inspection one of the socketed CIA IC's apparently came out of the socket during shipment. I reinstalled the IC. After power up, the C64 worked as advertised.
