      Good motor, waiting to use more.

      The motor runs well. I needed a longer cord, which was easy to connect once I had the proper connectors. There isn't enough room under the wiring cover for straight female spade connectors, so I had to order some "flag" (90 degree) ones. When they came & were crimped on it was a piece of cake. I'm guessing it is well designed. I'd been using a 1 HP Craftsman motor of about the same vintage, and never had a problem. There are a lot of the Craftsman table saws out there, so I'd think the design has proven itself by now. There were just a few times with the 1 HP motor, when making full depth rip cuts on harder wood, when the 1 HP would need to slow down. I'm hoping the 1-1/2 HP motor helps out there. My normal blade is a Freud 10", 50 tooth, thin kerf, combination blade. I've ...

      Good replacement

      I got about 40 yrs. of intermittent light use out of the original motor. This used one is better- ball bearings, etc. It should be good for a couple more decades.
