I used this to replace a sata card in my 15 disk truenas box as I suspected it was causing io errors as cheap ones tend to do. everything worked right out of the box without issue and there are no more errors now. the only downsides are that it adds about 2 minutes to the boot time from it initializing itself, and it uses a lot of power (25w, when the system plus hdds use about 100w) requiring its own fan to keep it cool. but this is just the nature of it being a server part.

I've had memory shipped in plastic cling wrap, in plain bubble wrap, and in envelopes. FINALLY someone who got it right! They mythical ESD bag! Throw in the fact that the seller reached out before shipping to verify this was indeed the RAM I needed.... pure perfection! I don't even need to test this stuff to have the utmost faith in it's functionality.
