A unit as hardworking as the Denon AVR-591 is rare. Features delivered by Denon's receiver include Dolby Pro Logic IIZ technology, which offers music, cinema, or game modes. Surround-sound stereo with Dolby TrueHD DTS master audio provides extraordinary sound. Calibration, also termed frequency response, is important to A/V experts and home theater hobbyists alike, and you can check that box off with Denon's Dynamic EQ technology. It is designed to keep the frequency response stable across volumes. Five equal power amplifiers can be combined with a user's subwoofers for some serious bass. Running them through a single power supply results in a balanced, immersive surround-sound experience. Prepare to be spellbound while watching your favorite show, relaxing with a movie, or streaming a live concert.In addition to providing sound for your TV, a stereo mini jack on the front panel of this AVR allows you to easily connect other devices. You can plug in portable media players such as an iPhone or iPad as well as accessories like headphones. What A/V system is complete without gaming capabilities any time of day or night? Four ports let you connect any HDMI-compatible console or disc player. The unit's HDMI 1.4a is compatible with 3-D Blu-ray or 3-D broadcast signals, so Blu-ray discs and broadcast, cable, or satellite formats are all welcome. Denon's Dynamic Volume feature is designed to keep audio levels constant. This is important as the system's 120 watts can and will drive a user's speakers to very loud levels; the ability to keep volume levels constant is valuable when playing games or watching TV while others are asleep. Denon's 5.1-channel home theater receiver and amplifier has 375 watts of total power. Its 3D-enabled HDMI pass-through technology has a 1.4a output. This unit comes with two digital inputs, one coaxial and one optical. It also features AM/FM antenna ports, a subwoofer pre-out, an iPod docking station port, and a tower-type microphone. For other video options such as a video camera, there are analog inputs, one component video input, and a composite video input. A user manual comes with the unit to help you understand the various components from initial setup to being completely immersed in your entertainment. Display labels on the ergonomic remote help identify volume and source.
