      Great upgrade for old blue box and newer Athearns

      I think these are a lot better then the stock blue box athearn motor brushes. There a bit smaller then the original which I think is better cause its less friction around the motor. I don't care about all those people who say throw away all the old blue box loco cause there old and loud and blah blah. I have over hundred older blue box and newer ones and all have been slowly getting DCC ready. I replaced nothing on them did basic tune up new brushes cleaned motor and gears and little lube and they run stronger then some of my Atlas gold and MTH trains. Used these brushes on them with the Digitrax DH126D for non sound ones and ones with room SDH166D decoders and no problems. If upgrading older blue boxes or newer ones I recommend these especially for the older ones that used those longer ...

      Work OK in Blue Box

      Shorter than the original Blue Box motor brushes. Fit well. Have screwdriver slot to align with commutator. Will see how they hold up over time.
