About this product
Product Information
Matthew Waterhouse reads this novelisation of a classic 1982 TV serial featuring the Fifth Doctor, as played on TV by Peter Davison. When the TARDIS materialises on an alien space craft, the commander of the ship - the reptilian Monarch - invites the Doctor, Adric, Nyssa and Tegan to continue their journey to Earth in his company. Monarch's hospitality even extends to a generous offer to liberate the time travellers from the shortcomings of their bodies and replicate them as androids - so much more practical. Although Adric finds this proposal extremely attractive, the Doctor has good reason to be suspicious of Monarch's motives... Matthew Waterhouse, who played Adric in Doctor Who, reads Terrance Dicks's novelisation of a four-part TV serial by Terence Dudley.

- 1***3 (980)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseBook is brand new and in excellent condition but NOT what I ordered or what is stated in the advert! (Please see attached photos. Book was posted and received promptly, but the book I ordered states clearly it’s the ‘Hardback’ edition. What I got was the paperback edition. I ordered a hardback copy for a reason feel and like I’ve been deceived (how many others I wonder?). Misleading advertising or genuine mistake? On this occasion I’ll give ‘bookwanderers’ the benefit of doubt.
- 2***6 (341)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseSuper eBay Seller, book arrived in perfect condition within 2 days of ordering it. It was packaged securely and delivered by Royal Mail.
- 4***c (72)- Feedback left by buyer.Past monthVerified purchaseItem ordered was clearly labelled as Hardback. What I received was the paperback edition. Upon complaint I was told that the item had never been hardback in the UK, as if I should have realised their “error”! The item incidentally was priced above the RRP of the paperback version (it’s currently priced at £34.73 from £43. RRP is £25). They have relabelled the item, and did issue a refund. I can see in the reviews that this issue has occurred before a number of times.
