      The 14-50R outlet arrived in an opened condition. One of the four set screws used to clamp wires to this outlet was stripped, meaning it did not tighten when the screw was turned. The plastic is scratched around the opening of the stripped connection where wire is inserted during an install. Someone had tried to install this unit previously and had stripped the set screw. The item arrived unusable. Why someone would describe an item as new and tested is a mystery. New is new.
