I love this series for my family time of tv watching, but there does seem to be tooo much emphasis on boyfriends and girlfriends. Which also allows dating at tooo early of an age, 14. And included in this dating is a lot of kissing....these are the concerns I have, which leads our family into discussion of our values. BUT the gift giving idea that they incorporte which isn't to buy something....but to give of yourself is REFRESHING. And watching the boys in the family take responsiblity to help their siblings is also another quality that seems to be lacking in some of todays young men. I purchased this because today's tv usually isn't appropriate for my family viewing. The commericals are as bad if not worse then the show in the tv. So I would rather have some good selections for us to watch together.
'9 is enough?'
Since I can't seem to remember if I'd watched season 5 of 7th Heaven,likewise being said about anything past season 1,excluding the second to last,last seasons of the show,I've browsed several sites,hoping to catch the seasons "on sale." When I saw s5 listed,I figured 'why not?' So far,I've been lucky enough to grab seasons 1-3,and all I need now,is 4. Its been a blast,watching all the craziness that wanders through the lives of the Camden clan,I swear..Lucy gets crazier,as she gets older. Of course,that might just be my view of her character. Some of the more shocking moments I've seen,were when the father was shot by the boy who threatened the same fate for his son,Simon. I'd seen that kind of thing before,but when it happened there..it caught me by surprise. Same going for when Marys' parents declared that they were shipping her to the grandparents on the fathers side,to get the 'tough love' she needed,to find her way out of the mess she landed herself in,due to some bad choices. Thats about all I can think of to say

I have loves Movie series I watched when I was teenager but I stay watching when I went to college. My first husband got season on and I have always want the whole collection so that what my plan is. And now I am getting into show that I have never seen and the great love this show

I was a fan of the show 7th Heaven. It was a good family show and it was very well written. All the people on the show were very good actors. Their should be more shows like these on t.v. now. Stephen Collins,Catherine Hicks,Jessica Biel,Barry Watson,David Gallagher,Beverley Mitchell,and Mackenzie Rossman were good in their roles. The show made me laugh,cry,and feel good watching the show. I can see why the show lasted for 10 years on the air. It was such a wholeseome quality show.
A great family show
Tired of all the non-stop sex and violence that TV offers? Take a respite with the Camden family, where love prevails, lessons are learned and morals are taught, but never in a preachy way. The acting is superb, especially Catherine Hicks as the mother who can (and will) do anything to protect her nest.
