      Great processor with a very minor issue

      It is a great processor with a very simple caveat. When purchasing this processor I took it for granted that the stock fan would be enough to cool the processor and keep in great working order. I found out quickly unless I went into the BIOS and changed the fan to a higher speed that the processor would quickly and easily after about 10 min overheat. Having to ramp up the speed on the stock cpu fan gets noisy fast. To fix this problem is very simple and inexpensive. It is necessary to purchase an (Arctic Freezer 33 eSports ONE) cpu cooler. This cpu heat sink uses heat pipes and a super silent fan to keep the noise way down. You don't need an expensive water cooling unit. This setup is also geared for overclocking the cpu to around 4.0 ghz.

      think I got burned

      I can't say that I'm especially surprised, but I am disappointed. This package was priced much below market value, but I decided to take a chance. It works great--until it spontaneously shuts down and restarts. I purchased this specifically to do AI upscaling of long videos, and it's useless for that because it can't complete a job before it restarts and cancels the project. I recently purchased a new AMD Ryzen 5 2600, but haven't gotten around to setting it up with the new mobo. Maybe that will solve my problem. I call shenanigans.

      Awesome Gaming CPU

      The Ryzen 5 2600 is a fantastic CPU from AMD for gamers. It's got 6 cores and 12 threads of awesome performance to throw at any game you want. It pairs very well with any graphics card including higher end cards which allows you to get maximum FPS numbers with high settings. AMD does have the faster Ryzen 5 3600 but the 2600 is still a great gaming CPU to put into a PC and you'll have a great time gaming on it!

      Great Product

      Although I was willing to wait for the new ryzen 5 5600 that is coming out in 2021 I couldn't wait for my school needs and well... obviously gaming. I paired it with my gigabyte b450 Mobo, 16gb ram and Radeon rx570 and it's working flawlessly as anticipated. It's way better than my previous ryzen 5 1600 cpu running at higher clocks that I even could not achieve with moderate oc. Great product!!!

      Good bang for the buck processor.

      Perhaps its not the fastest processor, but bang for the buck its hard to beat. Runs games smoothly, and more importantly for me transcodes video much faster than my old Core I-5 4th Gen. Those looking for maximum performance should shop elsewhere. Those looking for value, you have arrived at the correct location.
