|See your favorite TV shows and movies in stunning detail with the 5th Generation Apple TV 4K media streamer. For 4k televisions that also feature high dynamic range (HDR), you can expect even more vibrant, realistic image quality. Not only are you able to stream content from iTunes, but also other services such as Netflix, Hulu, and ESPN. Regular high-definition TVs can be easily connected with a HDMI cable, while 4K TVs require an ultra high-speed HDMI cable in order to stream the greater detail. With the Apple TV you have the option to connect it to the Internet either via an Ethernet cable or over 802.11ac Wi-Fi. Plus, as this small black box is less than 4 square inches, it requires next to no room by your television. With built-in storage space of 32 GB, you have the convenience of downloading TV shows and movies in advance rather than streaming them and relying on Internet speeds. Another option is the Apple TV’s AirPlay functionality, which allows you to view files across your home network in supported formats like H.264, HEVC and MPEG-4. Controlling your Apple TV is easy with the Siri Remote, featuring a touch surface that allows you to navigate with the swipe of a finger. Or simply ask Siri the intelligent personal assistant to find what you’re after, through its inbuilt microphone. The device also comes with various accessibility features to enhance viewing for those with impairments or disabilities, such as closed captions and audio descriptions. The Apple TV also cares for the environment, as both the Apple TV and Siri Remote have been manufactured in a way to limit their environmental impact, with both BFR-free and PVC-free.|

Easy to set up
Easy to use
Good device well worth the money, from eBay, that is.
In most cases the set up is easy, but if the Remote doesn't connect it can be a real fight to get it to work. I've had one, not this one, get real difficult to hook up. The Apple TV device itself, hooks up easily. But, do a Firmware up date immediately. Some of the earlier ones have old firmware that cause a bad picture on non-4K media. Google about the remote before sending it back. I found that holding the remote close to the device and pressing the "Menu" and "Volume +" buttons at the same time and holding them for a minute or so, I could get the remote to reset. Whatever works for you. I think the new remotes with the touch pads are too sensitive and hard for me to control, but the Voice command feature is great. I really enjoy the Apple TV, especially now that they allowed Amazon Prime on there. I share one account with my son and some other family members. You can share up to 6 people. I have mine hard wired in, but the wireless works great too. My daughter streams wireless as easily as I do on a wired connection. Air Play is a great feature as well. We use it at our office for presentations and educational meetings. Anything on an Apple laptop will be displayed on the TV. And the Screen savers are really cool!

Non-intuitive and too small
This device allows me access iTunes movies and content. It's the ONLY reason I bought it. It works, and the movies are great, though expensive. But it must have been designed by an entire room full of geeks. To begin with, it's smaller than an iPod, rectangular with a line across the center. Picking it up, you don't know which way is up! Reading the tiny print solves that. Then you discover there is ONE word and 5 symbols on the face. The word is MENU, so at least you know how to start. Once you get the menu - what next? Moving your fingers around the surface it appears that the screen movements are controlled by you finger sliding across the TOP of the device (remember to have it right way up). Those sliding movements are tricky and make it easy to go too far or not far enough with the screen movements. It literally took me a few days to be even proficient enough to get where I want. Even then - what do you do next??? It turns out the TOP (remember which is top) also has a built in button - just press the same surface that you do the movements with. I'm enjoying iTunes, but hate having to try something new. It simply is NOT intuitive!!!! I have Roku, which was simple and straightforward right out of the box. Never once did I question how to do anything. So it can be done - Apple!

Great improvement over my prior (non-tvOS) Apple TV; remote hard to use
Well, it's an Apple TV. Coming from the last generation of AppleTV that didn't have tvOS, most of my quibbles are about the remote. It wasn't immediately clear what the "TV" button on the remote did (why is it any different from "menu"?) and I got the remote turned around in my hand within the first 5 minutes of using it. And the opening video, which introduces the Apple TV to you, didn't play the video, only the audio. But most of these are sort of initial-use issues that don't bother once you've learned about the device (except the orientation of the remote.. I will probably get the remote flipped around forever, unless I can train my fingers to notice the raised ridges on the "menu" button). I love searching for content using the Remote-based Siri functionality. It's fast and highly responsive, and shows me content across services (truly think this is the killer feature). It plays my Apple Music content like a champ. Apart from that, having an actual App store is nice, though haven't found much too useful in there, but I've only spent a couple of hours on the actual device...

Best smart tv interface in the market.
Easy to install, and use with existing desktop and mobile devices through house. Highly recommend if you are thinking of switching from cable to streaming (DirecTV Now). There is a short (2-3day) learning curve to use the trackpad remote. Fortunately, it’s very intuitive and once mastered, it’s difficult to go back to using a remote with 75+ buttons and no “Siri” features.
