    Disrespectful to a great artist

    I bought this to replace an old LP and what a disappointment it turned out to be. All of Mr. Apaka's tonal nuances and artistry are reduced to nearly nothing. If you love Alfred Apaka as I do, don't buy this CD. I don't know what they did to the sound, but it wasn't good.

    Vintage Hawaiian music

    My mother is 85 years old. This is for her. She likes the old style Hawaiian music. We get a dose every visit 3 to 4 times a month. I have heard Alfred for more than 25 years on her old scratchy 33 albums. I know all this music by heart. This is the best recording I have heard of him. Thanks.

    Classic Apaka Greatness!

    What a voice! My mom used to play tennis with Mr. Apaka. Both are long deceased, so it was a bit emotional for me. Anyway, Apaka set the standard.

    Classic Hawaiian all the way!

    Hawaiian music is so soothing and Alfred Apaka and His Hawaiians do it just right and The Hukilau Song is just plain fun!
